Daniel Longo is a choreographer, teacher and dancer from Long Island. He is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Dance, and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Dowling College. After appearing on Sesame Street when he was 10 years old, Daniel went on to perform and choreograph for the Alvin Ailey showcase in New York City directed by Kat Wildish, and continues to choreograph for their showcases.

Daniel was the co-founder and owner of East Coast Artists Dance Center in New York. In his first 5 years of business, Daniel’s studio was named one of the Top 3 studios in the world from the World Dance Championships. Daniel’s studio was also nominated for the People’s Choice Award Outstanding Performance by the Industry Dance Awards.

Daniel is both a regional and national judge for several dance competitions, and was the co-founder and Artistic Director of Arrhythmia Dance Company, based on Long Island, NY. Through Arrhythmia Dance Company, Daniel has choreographed for SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Binghamton, Silvercreek High School and has led master classes at SUNY Binghamton and Monticello High School.

Under Daniel’s direction during his time with Arrhythmia Dance Company, The Toys for Tots for Marines has collected over 10,000 toys and has raised over five thousand dollars for the Dancers Against Cancer foundation.

Daniel has worked with Erica Sobol of colliEdance and Allison Holker from So You Think You Can Dance through Arrhythmia Dance Convention. Daniel’s choreography was chosen to go before the executive producers for the 2012 season of America’s Got Talent. Daniel was personally hand-picked by Katee Shean from Season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance to assist her at an Excel in Motion master class. Daniel was also chosen to work with Chehon and Eliana from Season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance for the official convention in Las Vegas.

Daniel’s choreography was chosen to present at the Young Choreographer’s Festival in NYC at the Symphony Space, as well as New York City’s Dance Week at the Dixon Place. Daniel was selected as a finalist for the Artist Simply Human’s National choreography competition, theDANCEproject in Atlantic City. Daniel’s choreography has been awarded as an outstanding performance in contemporary from the Industry Dance Awards.

Daniel is currently located in Orlando, Florida. He recently joined REVEL Dance Convention as an Event Supervisor, and teaches throughout the country and is on staff at multiple studios in central Florida.
