Hitomi Nakamura
Hitomi began her training at Kaneta Kono Ballet Academy in Japan. In 2009, she won first place in the Ensemble Category at Youth America Grand Prix NY final. In 2011, she won first place in the senior category at The Ballet Competition in Tokyo. The same year, she moved to the United States and continued her training at Houston Ballet Academy, where she had the opportunity to dance with the company. In 2013, She joined Orlando Ballet’s second company and was invited to compete in the International Ballet Competition at Jackson where she was a semi-finalist. She joined the Orlando Ballet company and has danced several principal roles in full length ballets such as Sugarplum Fairy and Snow Queen in the Nutcracker, Cinderella in The Cinderella, Giselle in Giselle, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. Hitomi has performed many leading roles from world’s renowned choreographer such as Gerorge Balanchine’s Serenade, Val Caniparoli’s Lambarena, Jorden Morris’s Moulin Rouge, Michael Pink’s Dracula, and Kenneth Tindal’s Casanova.
Hitomi is also a certified teacher ABT National Curriculum Training and the Progressive Ballet Training.
